Bluetooth chips can be integrated to PDAs and PCs. In fact these integrated bluetooth devices are connected either to Serial line or USB. For example Compaq's iPaqs have bluetooth CSR chip connected to Serial line and we can get it working by btctl open_uartcommand. For detailed information about Affix on iPaq see this page.
